• Eligilbity for Obtaining Continuous Discharge Certificate

1. An Applicant shall be a citizen of India.
2. An applicant shall be medically fit and possess a valid certificate in the form prescribed under Annexure IV and V of the Merchant Shipping (Medical Examination) Rules. 2016, to the effect that he is medically fit to be employed on board ships.
3. An application for issue of Continuous Discharge Certificate must be have completed the following basic familiarisation courses in an approved training institute and hold a certificate to that effect, namely.
4. Basic STCW Safety Training Course
5. Security Training for Seafarer with Designated Security Duties (STSDSD)’ or Ship Security Office (SSO)

           OR

1. Elementary First Aid (EFA) or Medical Frist Aid (MFA) OR Medical Care (MC)
2. Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (PSSR)
3. Personal Survival Techniques (PST) or Refresher Training for Proficiency in PST or Proficiency in Survival craft and rescue boards (PSCRB)
4. FIRE Prevention and Fire Fighting (FPFF) or Refresher Training for Proficiency in FPFF or Advance fire Fighting (AFF)
5. Security Training for Seafearer with Designated Security (STSDSD) or Ship Security Office(SSO)
6. An applicant shall not be less than 18 years of age.
7. An applicant must have passed 10^th standard from a recognized board/university.
